Abstract

IT project management now encompasses environmental sustainability due to worldwide environmental awareness and company efforts to decrease ecological footprints. This article examines integrating environmental issues into IT project management and decreasing environmental consequences. Regulations and CSR encourage environmentally and organizationally sustainable project management.
This study examines green IT—ecologically sustainable IT design, manufacture, and disposal. Infrastructure energy, waste, and operational sustainability are addressed by green IT. This research covers virtualization, data center optimization, and green tech. Methods affect cost savings, efficiency, and sustainability.
Another need is energy-efficient infrastructure. Energy-efficient IT projects save money, energy, and the earth. Innovative cooling, power management, and renewable energy sources for IT infrastructure energy efficiency are listed. Financial, healthcare, and education situations demonstrate effectiveness.
